FAQs

Why are we crowdfunding?

We want to give our customers and supporters an opportunity to be a part of Ordapad. We’re fundraising to continue building out the features and integrations required to provide wider range of services, while allowing our customers to vote for features on our public roadmap.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding allows anyone to invest in startups. You can invest as little as £10. It allows companies like Ordapad to accept investments from customers and the general public.

Which platform are you crowdfunding on?

We’ve chosen Crowdcube, the UK’s leading equity crowdfunding platform, to manage our fundraise. You can find them over at www.crowdcube.com.

What happens in the exclusive investment period?

Before our campaign is listed publicly on the Crowdcube website, there will be a private investor opportunity that we’ll send details of to our customers, community and those that sign up on this page. That way you can access it ahead of the general public. It’s your chance to get in early.

How do I invest?

We’ll e-mail you a link when the private investment window goes live on the Crowdcube platform. You’ll be able to find the link on this page too. Once the campaign is public we’ll be listed in “Investment Opportunities” on the Crowdcube website. To invest, you’ll need to create a Crowdcube account first.

How do I create a Crowdcube account?

It’s super easy to create a Crowdcube account. Head over to www.crowdcube.com to register and sign up. Once you’ve provided your details and verified your identity, then you’ll be able to make investments in Ordapad through Crowdcube.

Can I share this page?

Feel free! If you have friends and contacts that you think would be interested in our mission you can share this page with them too so they can sign up.

What is the minimum investment?

The minimum investment is just £10. We want all of our customers and supporters to have the chance to own a piece of Ordapad.

How will the money be used?

We’ve laid out our roadmap for the next 12-months. We’re building API Integrations so that our platform can connect into accounting tools to make it even easier to work with Ordapad, while continuing to and improving service to new and existing sellers and buyers on the platform.

The majority of the funds raised are being spent on building an even stronger team to take our product farther, faster. 40% of the funds earmarked for further platform development.

Can I invest if I’m based in the USA or Canada?

Yes you can. You’ll need to be a resident in the US or Canada, as well as being an accredited investor (which means that there’s a minimum investment of £10k).

What shareholder protections do I receive?

All Ordapad shareholders receive exactly the same rights, from our largest investors through to our smallest ones. Crowdcube is fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

How do I make a return?

Investors can make a return through one of two primary routes: if Ordapad is sold at a higher valuation than the one at which you invested or if the company floats on the stock exchange. Investors tend to invest for the long term (at least 5 years) before a return is realised and investors need to hold their shares for a minimum of 3 years to realise the tax benefits associated with an EIS investment. It is our intention to provide our investors with a return on their investment, but it is not guaranteed. As with any early stage business, investing involves risk.

What are the risk factors of investing?

Investing in early stage companies carries inherent risks. We anticipate that, with the investment that we are looking to raise, we will be able to scale the business further, significantly increasing our chances of success. But success isn’t guaranteed and your money is at risk.

Investments of this nature carry risks to your capital, including illiquidity, lack of dividends and dilution. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Balance risk with a diversified portfolio. Approved as a financial promotion by Crowdcube Capital Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (No 650205).
